In a shocking turn of events, BPF President Hagrama Mohilary announced that he has joined forces with the Congress-led coalition just before next month’s elections in the State.
The Bodoland Peoples’ Front (BPF) announced that they were ending their alliance with the ruling BJP party and joining hands with the opposition front.
Taking to Twitter, Hagrama Mohilary said, “To work for Peace, Unity and Development the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has decided to join hands with MAHAJATH in the forthcoming Assam Assembly Election. We shall no longer maintain friendship or alliance with BJP.”
Congress leaders welcomed the BPF President on Twitter and looked forward to the elections with their alliance.
