Arunachal’s Hillang Yajik bags gold and silver at South Asian Championship

Hillang Yajik from Arunachal Pradesh has earned a place in the record books by securing both a Gold and a Silver medal at the 15th South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships, held in Thimphu, Bhutan.

The event took place from June 11 to June 15 and saw participation from leading physique sports athletes representing countries across South Asia. Yajik’s achievements make her the first woman from Arunachal Pradesh to win a Gold medal in an international physique sports competition.

Organised by the Bhutan Bodybuilding Association, the championship was held under the authority of the World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation (WBPF) and the Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation (ABPF).
