In a heartwarming display of community spirit and solidarity, the residents of Chamdurtlang embarked on a collective effort to restore a dilapidated school in their village, ensuring it is ready for the upcoming academic year. On March 20, 2024, from the crack of dawn, the people of Chamdurtlang rallied together to breathe new life into the rundown institution.

According to a report by Zalen, the focus of their efforts was the Lai Ram Isua Krista Baptist Kohhran New Vision English School, which had suffered significant damage and wear over time. With the school slated to reopen in April, the urgency to refurbish it was paramount.

Stepping up to the challenge, members of the Chamdurtlang 1 branch of the Young Mizo Association (YMA) volunteered to spearhead the restoration project. Approximately 25 dedicated individuals from the YMA enthusiastically took on the task of repairing and revitalizing the school infrastructure.
