N. F. Railway is gearing up for the upcoming summer season by introducing a pair of special trains to provide an easier journey to commuters. The trains will depart from Mumbai and Guwahati and offer a more comfortable travel experience.
One of the trains numbered 06521, will depart from SMVT Bengaluru to Guwahati and take 11 trips in both directions. The second train, numbered 01065, will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai to Agartala and also take 11 trips in both directions. The trains will have a stoppage at Rangiya, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, Kharagpur, Brahmapur, Rajamundry, and Katpadi Junction.
The special trains are expected to operate from April 16 to June 25 and will provide an option for travellers to visit popular tourist destinations during the summer season. The trains are equipped with unreserved general and chair car coaches and will travel via Rangiya, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, Kharagpur, Brahmapur, Rajamundry, and Katpadi Junction, among other stops. In a move to enhance travel convenience, N. F. Railway has also introduced two-minute additional stoppages for several trains, including the Dibrugarh – New Delhi Rajdhani Express, the Guwahati – Mariani Junction BG Express, and the Sealdah – Agartala Kanchanjunga Express, at select stations. The stoppages aim to provide commuters with more travel options and flexibility during their journey.
