Mizoram: Teacher’s initiative gives voice to rape Victim 

Aizawl: In a heartening turn of events, a teacher’s innovative approach to connecting with her students has brought to light a deeply troubling case of rape and sexual abuse in Champhai district, Mizoram. The initiative, which involved inviting students to share personal experiences through a classroom assignment, has led to the revelation of a harrowing tale of rape from a father-son duo.

The teacher, whose identity remains undisclosed, encouraged her students to pen down experiences they had not shared with anyone else but would feel comfortable confiding in her. To her astonishment, one student bravely disclosed her ordeal of enduring rape and sexual abuse at the hands of a man and his son.

The victim, whose identity has been kept confidential, detailed her traumatic experiences of being assaulted by the accused individuals. Shockingly, she revealed that the abuse began when she was just four years old when the 53-year-old accused, identified as Saitawna, allegedly touched her inappropriately.
