Bishnupur: In a tragic incident, two CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) jawans, including a sub-inspector, were killed, and two others were injured in a bomb attack carried out by armed assailants in Bishnupur district on Saturday.
Sources report that the attack on the CPRF jawans occurred at the 2nd IRB post at Naranseina between midnight and 2:15 am when unidentified armed individuals hurled bombs and opened fire at a sentry post.
Four CRPF jawans from the 128 Battalion, deployed in the area, sustained gunshot wounds and bomb shrapnel during the assault.
