Rangia: Four young men, with the aim to sensitise the youth on gender equality, environmental conservation and drug abuse, reached Rangia in Assam on Thursday on their 2,700-km journey to Arunachal Pradesh.
Constable Samandeep Kumar and Gurusawak Singh are from the Punjab Police, while Harry Thakur and Hukum Singh are two youths from Himachal Pradesh. They started on November 11 from Ahmedabad.
An NGO called “Prabhatikiran” from Rangia welcomed the riders by gifting them plant saplings. These saplings were then planted in the Balagaon village of Rangia near the NH 31.

According to the cyclists, the main aim of this rally was to create awareness among the people for the “Beti Bachao Beti Parhao” movement. Along with the movement, the cyclists also aim to create awareness of a drug-free society among the Indian youth. Additionally, the cyclists also aimed to create awareness on environmental.
After their stopover in Rangia, the cyclists began their journey to Itanagar via Gohpur.
