Arunachal: Family alleges torture before 12-year-old student’s death

Dibrugarh: In a tragic incident, four persons, including a four-year-old child, were killed and three others were injured in a fatal road accident that took place at Yakung village under Kibithu circle in Anjaw district of Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday.

According to reports, the incident took place at around 1 pm on Saturday.

As per initial reports, the accident occurred due to poor visibility, as it was foggy and there was also light rain. The driver could not properly negotiate the hill road, and the Tata Yodha fell into a roadside gorge.

The vehicle was carrying seven persons, including the driver, who is also the owner of the vehicle.

Among the deceased, three were from the same family, officials said. Due to the tough geographical location, the local administration came to know about the accident only this morning, after which a search and rescue operation was carried out.

The injured were shifted to Tezu Zonal Hospital in the nearby Lohit district for better treatment.
